On Saturday the 4th of October at 2pm, The State Library of New South Wales will be hosting a panel discussion on Indigenous voices in our community and their identity on line. The panellists include:

Luke Pearson, who is an outspoken Indigenous social commentator and the man behind social media phenomena, @IndigenousX, and is passionate about Indigenous education, literacy, numeracy, social media identity, and excellence.

Kelly Briggs, who writes and tweets under the moniker of The Koori Women is one of the leading drivers behind Aboriginal social media messaging. She has written for various publications including The Guardian, The Shake, The Castan Centre, Crikey and is a current columnist for the Croakey Health Blog. She was the recent winner of the Australian Writers Centre award for Best Commentary Blog 2014

Mick O’Loughlin, who is a Gamilaraay man from Moree, currently based in Newcastle. He has worked as a Traditional Aboriginal dancer, an Out of Home Care caseworker, an Indigenous Employment Consultant, an Aboriginal Education Assistant and a Juvenile Justice Officer
