Making Connections

Last week, the Indigenous Services Branch at the State Library of NSW were presented with an opportunity to display some of the Paakantji language resources held within Mitchell Library collection, to both Chris Evans (pictured left) and Lea Harlow (pictured right) from the Board of Studies, as well as to language educator, Warlpa Thompson (pictured centre).

During their visit, Chris, Lea, Warlpa and members of the Indigenous Services Branch discussed the upcoming launch of the Rediscovering Indigenous Languages website in November. This website will make language material held in State Library’s collection more accessible to community members, educators and linguists.
