Twitter is increasingly challenging what mainstream media determines as news. Founded by Gamilaroi man Luke Pearson, Twitter account @IndigenousX aims to represent the diverse Indigenous community by having a different guest host the twitter account each week; it shines a light on positive stories about Indigenous people in Australia and challenges stereotypes.

IndigenousX is self funded by founder Luke Pearson. Through his existing partnerships & network IndigenousX has grown to what it is today, a platform to showcase & celebrate Indigenous diversity.

Here, Luke Pearson speaks with Marnie Round of Radio Adelaide, about the importance of creating a place for open discussions and diverse perspectives, and how this can be achieved via social media.
